About me
I am a researcher in high energy physics and machine learning and am currently on a scientific secondment in Bari, Italy.
In my free time I like to tinker with electronics and computers - this means mostly fixing them. In particular I am insterested in Core2Duo era Thinkpads from T60 to T400 for the purpose of Librebooting - over some years I have already accumulated in the ballpark of 30 such Thinkpads.
In addition to my Thinkpad “addiction” I also like to play guitar and bass. I am a big proponent of FOSS and try to have a ever increasing fraction of my software fully free and open source.
Of course, that means I daily drive Linux.
Also, as I really enjoy homemade coffee, I am also a certified coffee barista.
